Sound performance for 20 voices

The work was inspired by a small amphitheatre that was accidentally discovered in a remote location, owned by VGTU (Vilnius Gediminas Technical Univercity). Its concrete stage is densely covered with grass, and the scenery is embodied by a variety of trees that are quite common in Lithuania: spruce, pine, birch, etc. On the left side of the stage is a huge anthill, and the space from the audience benches up to the stage is densely covered with slugs. In other words, everything is already there, growing and thriving. The piece for 20 voices is an attempt to intervene in the dense and sensitive dynamics of the place and to create a non-aggressive sonic invasion that would serve as a theatrical backdrop. Like an invisible theatrical machine, the choir frames the regular life of the amphitheatre, in which life forms that have been seen many times but are alien to each other, and experiences of cognition and divergent harmony, unfold.
