Durational performance, 6 hours
Through the act (v.) and space (n.) of improvisation, the performer – embodied by myself and others – will raise questions about the character of Western classical music, in terms of authorship, meaning as well as the modes of artistic and cultural investigation being introduced in specific contexts in order to create new modes of becoming and spaces for emerging sonic possibilities.
By mapping out the liminal spaces between intellectual and intuitive improvisation during durational piano performances, I aspire to interact with given conditions and construct a new setting of possibilities and meanings.
