Sound installation, 8′ (loop), 6 speakers
Right now we are forced to witness significant human impact on the Earth’s geology, ecosystems and climate change. Sound installation was inspired by American composer Michael Pisaro, who described the spectrum from noise to pitch as essentially the spectrum of the sound of the world, and if we just take a moment and listen to our environment, we will hear some of all of that. During the creative process I was recording sounds of trees from which I planned to compose a sound track to Gediminas Hill. After leaving Lithuania I have decided to imitate the sounds using my own voice and so commenting on a very widely discussed history of the hill.
Exhibited at the Palace Of The Grand Dukes Of Lithuania in Vilnius, during the Soundscape festival
